As part of the COP26 conference, BIFoR wanted to share its experiment into how temperate deciduous trees cope with raised carbon dioxide levels. The experiment disturbs the eco-system as little as possible and monitors the forest under the environmental conditions that will prevail in about 50 years' time. The film needed to get across the importance of the work to a wide audience.

We needed to give viewers a clear sense of the work taking place, so we spent two days filming in a forest in Staffordshire. This included using harnesses to film at the top of the trees. However, despite the beautiful footage, at the core of the film was interviews with the researchers to hear about the work going on.

The film was shown at COP26 and has also been used by BIFoR to showcase and share its work.
